Turkey on the Fence

At this time of year (Spring), the turkeys are all over around here.  We hear them when we go on hikes, we see them when we’re driving around, and we hear them from our home.  We have one, though, who visits us each day.  She jumps (can we call it flying?) up onto our backyard fence.  My son says she’s saying “hello.”  She’s been visiting every Spring for at least the last three years.  Can I assume it’s the same one?

I think so, too. She has her little rituals.

Enjoy the visits while you can. Turkey hunting season just opened and they will be looking for a hiding place! Welcome to FF

Just a quick shot before she jumped off the fence. When I went outside with the camera, she got a bit skittish. No time for me to focus and zoom in.

  5. Nice. You should post this in Friday Fences! We had four turkeys in our backyard the other morning for the first time. We’ll see if they venture back.
